With the assistance from our knowledgeable board members and advisors, Spectacular Freedom is equipped to accept gifts of real estate. A donation of this kind can provide relief from the aggravation of owning unwanted property and can result in a tremendous tax deduction for the donor. The amount of the tax deduction is based upon the current market value of the property, not the original cost of the property when it was purchased.
We can accept single family dwellings, condominiums, land, multi-family buildings, office and retail buildings. We allow gifts from both individuals and corporate donors. Contributors can also benefit from giving promissory notes or real estate contracts. Please consult with your tax professional for specific advice regarding tax deductibility. Presently, we are not accepting properties that have liens that require installment payments.
We are especially interested in accepting single family that are on or very near a bus line. Spectacular Freedom will utilize these properties as affordable, transitional housing for those who are in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
We handle all of the particulars concerning your real estate gift and provide all of the essential paperwork to complete the property transfer. Appraisals, title reports and transfer deeds are ordered and prepared through our organization so that you can correctly declare your tax deduction.
We accept donations of the following non-cash items:
Cars • Motor homes • Boats • Aircraft • Artwork • Securities • Trucks • Travel Trailers • Jet ski’s • Heavy Equipment • Jewelry • Bonds
